About This Breed
Our journey began with a move to the countryside and a vision: to bring new life to our 67 acres through animals that were hardy, practical, and full of charm. Prairie alpacas quickly emerged as the ideal choice—their resilience, gentle nature, and adaptability aligned perfectly with our hopes. What truly amazed us was discovering their unique personalities. Before long, these graceful alpacas captured our hearts and became our greatest passion. After receiving many requests, we decided to open our farm to visitors, offering unforgettable experiences where people can connect with these remarkable creatures in a deeply meaningful way.
Our prairie alpacas roam the rolling hills, their fleece glowing in the morning sun as they graze peacefully. Each day begins with us checking the herd, making sure every alpaca is healthy and content. Fresh water and nourishing hay keep them strong, while their thick coats protect them through the seasons. We still provide shelter from wind and rain, ensuring comfort no matter the weather. Grooming and hoof care are part of our routine, along with regular veterinary visits to safeguard their well-being.They know our voices, and some nuzzle close, showing trust built through gentle handling. Walking among them feels less like caretaking and more like companionship. At the end of the day, watching them graze against the prairie backdrop reminds us why they mean so much.
